Strongly poetic song-texts and a haunting voice going under your skin, embedded in a vivid fresh new electronic sound– that’s female singer and songwriter Velve, Cologne/London.

As the daughter of a musician, Velve had her first experience on stage at the age of five. Regular singing and piano lessons provided her with a fundamental musical basis. At the age of 15 she wrote song-texts licensed through GEMA for German artists. From there she began writing in general, and started a career as a copywriter for advertising, later becoming a journalist and speaker.

Velve’s voice was developed through several years of jazz singing lessons. She has broad experience in all kinds of vocal adaptation through her work as an actor and professional narrator for television, radio, audio books and guides as well as commercials (see also www.german-voice.eu).

She has experimented with different kinds of styles of music over the years, performing together with African hip hop artists, writing songs for Brazil samplers with EMI/ 5000 Records London, and collaborating with renowned producers as singer and songwriter of techno music for the German labels Mute Records and Ladomat.

Currently she is working on her first own album and looking for classical or blues instrumentalists as well as experienced pop producers.
